Linear alkyl benzene sulphonic acid - LABSA

Alkylbenzenesulfonate (ABSK, ABSFK, LABSA, LAS, linear alkylbenzenesulfonate, linear alkylbenzene sulphonic acid, Alkylbenzene Sulfonic Acid ,Dodecylbenzene Sulfonic Acid).
Alkylbenzenesulfonate is a valuable product of inorganic chemistry. Obtained by sulfonation of linear alkylbenzene and is used to obtain alkylbenzenesulfonates components of detergents, surfactants for flotation of ores. Used as a foaming agent for penoizol.
Although the LABSA is known for 75 years, their broad use of it found in the world in 60-ies because of the good primary bio-degradability.
In appearance ABSK is a viscous liquid from brown to black depending on the brand. Is classified as A, B, V.
Components obtained by ABSK: trietanolamina salt alkylbenzenesulfonate (TEM-ABSK), sulphonol powder (sodium salt of alkylbenzenesulfonate), the calcium salt of alkylbenzenesulfonate and some others. Detergents manufactured based on the components obtained using ABSK, not korrodiruet surface.
ABSK is stored in covered warehouses, Packed and sealed steel containers. Shelf life: 6 months from date of manufacture.
Alkylbenzenesulfonate (ABSK) is used in the manufacture of tools that can be used to protect plants. As of LABSA, used to produce concentrates oil emulsions of pesticides.
Often alkylbenzenesulfonate (ABSK) is used as dispergator processes of pore formation in the production of artificial leather and film materials. The LABSA can be added as a modifier of rubber compounds. Alkylbenzenesulfonate can be used in the production of foam.
Transporterowych ABSK by rail in bulk in special railway tanks taking into account the recommendations of the transport of chemical liquids. Can be transported in cars, using steel containers. During transport, containers for transportation must be hermetically closed.

ABSK (T.M. ABESON ) is an intermediate in the production of surfactants. The salt obtained after neutralization of the corresponding bases (mainly sodium, ammonium or triethanolammonium) most often used for production of powder or liquid detergent . They can also be used to obtain detergents , and as auxiliary or other special surface-active substances .
Application:
Manufacturer of sodium salt (ABESON Na) ~40%:
NaOH (40%) 5.4 kg
ABSK (T. M. ABESON ) of 37.8 kg
water 56,9 kg
To a solution of NaOH with vigorous stirring given a fine spray of ABSK (T. M. ABESON ) . Failure to comply with this condition in the reaction mixture may experience difficultly soluble gels, complicating further neutralization. Need intensive cooling, the temperature should not exceed 60°C. After the operation of the neutralization product is used to retrieve the target means.
Powder detergent:
ABESON Na (40%) 35 %
phosphate (powder) 17 %
the sodium perborate 8 %
restrive glass (powder) 4 %
filler, zeolite, etc. 54 %
Liquid cleaner or detergent:
ABESON Na (40%) 30 %
SLES 70 8÷10 %
Cocamid DEA ( T. M. ALFONAL KD ) 0÷3 %
ethanol 1 %
Stationery:
Appendix 6÷8 % magnesium salt (ABESON M G) gives the gloss and natural Shine to autoluck.
Emulsification of herbicides:
The calcium salt of LABSA (T. M. АBESON ) prepared in toluene-ksilolom solution is an emulsifier for herbicides, etc.
