Vaseline (petrolatum) is an odorless, homogeneous, ointment-like mass consisting of a refined mixture of mineral oils and solid paraffin hydrocarbons. The product features excellent hydrophobic (water-repellent) properties, chemical resistance, and high stability. Due to its inert nature, vaseline serves as an ideal base for formulating cosmetic and medical ointments, creams, and balms. Additionally, it is widely utilized in industrial manufacturing as a highly effective anti-corrosion agent, lubricant, and insulating material.
Applications
Cosmetic and Pharmaceutical Industry: Acts as a classic base for ointments, creams, lipsticks, and balms. It effectively softens the skin and protects it against moisture loss.
Technical Manufacturing and Lubricants: Used to formulate plastic greases that are highly resistant to strong acids and alkalis, as well as to protect metal surfaces from rust and corrosion.
Electrical Engineering Industry: Utilized as an impregnating compound for cables and insulating materials due to its exceptional dielectric properties.
Woodworking and Textiles: Applied for the hydrophobization (waterproofing) of fabrics, paper, and wooden structures.

Storage & Transportation

- Transportation is permitted by all types of covered vehicles. The product is classified as non-hazardous for transport. Shelf life ranges from 2 to 5 years (depending on the grade and level of refinement).
