LABSA (Linear Alkylbenzene Sulfonic Acid) is a highly efficient anionic surfactant and a key foundational ingredient for the production of a wide range of detergents and household cleaning products. The product is a viscous, brown liquid with a characteristic pungent odor, and it features excellent water solubility. Due to its outstanding foaming, emulsifying, and detergency properties, as well as its high level of biodegradability, LABSA is indispensable in formulating cost-effective and environmentally safe household and industrial cleaning products.

Applications

Household Detergents Production: Serves as the primary active surfactant component for synthesis in liquid and powder laundry detergents, dishwashing liquids, heavy-duty cleaning gels, and fabric softeners.

Industrial & Institutional Cleaners: Used in high-concentration formulations such as car wash shampoos, industrial equipment cleaners, metal surface degreasers, and tough stain removers.

Textile and Leather Industries: Utilized as an effective wetting, washing, and emulsifying agent during fiber processing, textile washing, and dyeing.

Construction Chemicals: Applied as a foaming agent in the production of lightweight foam concrete, and as a plasticizing additive to enhance the properties of mortar and concrete mixes.

Storage & Transportation

Store in dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouses away from direct sunlight, in tightly sealed original containers (corrosion-resistant or plastic packaging).
Recommended storage temperature range: from +15°C to +40°C. At lower temperatures, the product may thicken; controlled heating is required before use.
Avoid any water ingress, as the product is highly hygroscopic and, when diluted with water, can cause severe corrosion to standard metallic containers.
Transportation is permitted via all types of covered transport in strict compliance with dangerous goods regulations (classified as Class 8 — Corrosive Substances). Shelf life is 1 year.
