Teguard IND (a highly effective broad-spectrum biocidal agent) is a specialized preservative designed for reliable protection of liquid household and industrial chemicals against bacterial and fungal contamination. The product is a clear liquid, completely soluble in water. Due to its ability to effectively inhibit the growth of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, yeasts, and molds, Teguard IND is indispensable in the production of liquid detergents, dishwashing liquids, fabric softeners, and car shampoos, extending the shelf life and preserving the commercial appearance of the finished product.
Applications
Liquid Detergents and Gels: Used as a primary preservative in formulations of laundry gels, liquid soaps, and dishwashing liquids. Ensures long-term microbiological purity of the finished product.
Fabric Softeners and Conditioners: Incorporated into fabric softener formulations to prevent souring and the development of unpleasant odors during storage in warehouses and on store shelves.
Car Care and Auto Chemicals: Used in the production of car shampoos, active foam for touchless washing, and windshield washer fluids. Remains stable in formulations with a high surfactant content.
Industrial Cleaning: Included in the formulations of concentrated cleaners for professional cleaning, providing protection for concentrates that are diluted with water before use.
Key Advantages
Broad Spectrum of Biocidal Activity: Effectively suppresses the growth of both bacteria (including Pseudomonas aeruginosa) and microscopic fungi, even at minimal working concentrations.
Excellent Compatibility and Solubility: Completely soluble in water, easily integrated into any technological process at the final stage. Fully compatible with anionic, nonionic, and amphoteric surfactants.
Cost Effectiveness: Highly effective at extremely low dosages (typically from 0.05% to 0.15%), significantly reducing the cost of preservation for the finished product.
Formulation Stability: Does not affect the color, clarity, viscosity, or foaming properties of detergents. Maintains its activity across a wide pH range (optimally up to 8.5–9.0).
Storage & Transportation
- Store in dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouses in tightly closed original packaging, away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- Recommended storage temperature range: from +5 °C to +35 °C. Do not allow the product to freeze.
- Use corrosion-resistant materials (plastic, stainless steel) for process equipment and containers when handling the pure product.
- Transportation is possible by all types of covered transport in compliance with the regulations for shipping chemical substances. In concentrated form, the product belongs to the appropriate hazard class (requires careful handling during dosing). Shelf life is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
