HPEG 2400 (Methallyl alcohol polyoxyethylene ether) is a water-soluble macromonomer that serves as the main raw material for synthesizing new-generation, high-performance polycarboxylate ether (PCE) superplasticizers. The product comes in the form of white or light yellow solid flakes. Due to the high reactivity of its double bonds, HPEG 2400 easily undergoes copolymerization with acrylic acid. The admixtures synthesized from it provide the concrete mix with excellent fluidity, an extremely high rate of water reduction, and excellent slump retention over time.

Applications

Production of construction chemicals: Serves as the base monomer for the synthesis of polycarboxylate superplasticizers (concrete admixtures).
Ready-mix concrete: Used (as part of formulated PCE) for the production of high-strength, self-compacting, and pumpable concrete.
Precast concrete: Used in mixes to achieve high early compressive strength, which accelerates formwork removal and mold turnover.
Special dry mortars: Applied in the production of self-leveling floors, non-shrink grouts, joint fillers, and highly durable repair mortars.

  • Transportation is possible by all types of covered transport. The material is classified as non-hazardous cargo. The shelf life is 1 year.
