DOTP (Dioctyl Terephthalate) is a high-purity, eco-friendly, phthalate-free general-purpose plasticizer. It is a clear, oily liquid, free of visible mechanical impurities, and virtually odorless. Due to its low volatility, high extraction resistance, and excellent low-temperature performance, DOTP serves as an ideal and safe alternative to traditional phthalate plasticizers (such as DOP/DEHP) in the production of PVC products, cable compounds, and flooring.
Applications
PVC Product Manufacturing: Acts as the primary plasticizer for flexible PVC, artificial leather, linoleum, flooring coverings, tarpaulins, and window gaskets, ensuring long-term durability and elasticity.
Cable Industry: Used in cable compounds for wire insulation and sheathing. It enhances the dielectric properties and resistance of finished products to heat aging.
Medical Devices & Children's Products: Highly recommended for products with strict toxicological safety requirements, including medical tubing, blood bags, children's toys, and food packaging films.
Coatings, Paints & Adhesives: Utilized as a plasticizing component in nitrocellulose lacquers, adhesives, sealants, and printing inks to improve their adhesion and flexibility.
