Preventol D12 is a highly effective liquid biocide with a broad spectrum of activity, specifically formulated for the preservation and protection of water-borne technological and finished products against microbial spoilage. The active ingredient, based on chloromethyl-/methylisothiazolinone (CMIT/MIT), ensures reliable, long-term inhibition of bacteria, fungi, yeast, and mold growth. The product is readily miscible with water and most organic media, making it an indispensable component in the production of household chemicals, rinse-off cosmetics, as well as paints, coatings, and construction materials.
Applications
Household Chemicals & Car Care: Used as a preservative in liquid detergents, dishwashing liquids, fabric softeners, car shampoos, and polishes.
Paints & Coatings (Coatings Industry): Applied for in-can preservation of water-dispersion paints, varnishes, primers, and emulsions, preventing souring and unpleasant odors during storage.
Construction Chemicals: Incorporated into adhesives (including wallpaper and construction glues), fillers, mortars, and concrete admixtures to protect against biodegradation.
Industrial Water Systems: Protection of metalworking fluids (MWFs), recirculating technical water systems, and paper pulps against biofilm formation and bacterial growth.

Storage & Transportation
- Store in dry, cool, covered warehouse facilities in the manufacturer's tightly closed original packaging.
- Recommended storage temperature range: +5°C to +40°C. Do not allow the product to freeze.
- Avoid direct sunlight and contact with strong alkalis, oxidizing agents, and reducing agents.
- Transportation is carried out by all types of covered transport in compliance with the regulations for the transport of liquid chemical cargoes. Shelf life is 1 year from the date of manufacture.
