Titanium Dioxide

Formula: TiO₂ GOST/CAS: CAS 13463-67-7

Titanium Dioxide grades R-996 and R-218 are highly purified rutile pigments manufactured via the sulfate process and enhanced with multi-component inorganic surface treatments (Alumina, Zirconia, and Silica). The product is a fine, dry white powder characterized by exceptional tinting strength, outstanding weather resistance, and high gloss. Due to the stable rutile crystal lattice, these grades provide maximum opacity and superior protection for polymer matrices and coatings against the destructive effects of UV radiation.

Applications

Coatings and Paints (LKM): Production of industrial, architectural, and decorative coatings. The R-996 grade is ideal for exterior high-gloss enamels that require maximum durability and weather resistance.
Plastics and Polymers: Pigmentation of PVC (profiles, window frames), polyolefins, polystyrene, and engineering plastics. R-218 ensures excellent dispersibility and prevents yellowing of the finished products.
Paper and Textil Industries: Used in the manufacturing of laminated and high-quality coated paper, as well as for whitening synthetic fibers, providing them with high brightness and opacity.
Construction Materials: Utilized in the production of colored concretes, dry mortar mixes, artificial stone, and paving tiles to achieve a stable, vibrant white base.

Key Advantages

High Opacity and Tinting Strength: Optimized particle size distribution ensures maximum light scattering, allowing formulators to reduce pigment dosage while maintaining pristine whiteness.
Exceptional Weatherability: Multi-component surface treatment (Al, Zr, Si) effectively protects the underlying binder polymers from photocatalytic degradation ("chalking") in outdoor environments.
Excellent Dispersibility: The pigment disperses rapidly and evenly in various liquid systems and polymer melts, reducing processing mixing times and eliminating the risk of agglomeration.
Eco-Friendliness and Shade Stability: The pigment is chemically inert, non-toxic, and maintains color stability across a wide temperature range, delivering a clean white shade without bluish or yellowish undertones.

Storage & Transportation

  • Store in dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouse areas protected from atmospheric precipitation, in tightly sealed original packaging.
  • Avoid packaging damage and exposure to moisture, as the product is prone to caking under high humidity conditions.
  • Transportation is permitted by all modes of covered transport in compliance with standard freight regulations. The material is classified as non-hazardous (safe for transport).
  • Shelf life — 2 years from the date of production, subject to compliance with storage conditions.
