Xylene (dimethylbenzene) is a highly effective aromatic organic solvent consisting of a mixture of three isomers (ortho-, meta-, and para-xylene). It is a clear, colorless, and highly flammable liquid with a characteristic odor. It is widely used in industry to dilute paints and varnishes to working viscosity, degrease surfaces, and serve as a raw material for organic synthesis. Paint and Coatings Industry: Used to dilute and adjust the working viscosity of alkyd, epoxy, polyurethane, silicone, and bituminous paints, enamels, and varnishes. It ensures uniform leveling and proper film drying.

Construction and Auto Body Repair: Applied for degreasing metal, wood, and plastic surfaces prior to painting or bonding. It effectively cleans painting tools, spray guns, and industrial equipment.

Chemical Synthesis and Production: Serves as an essential raw material in the production of phthalic anhydride, plasticizers, synthetic resins, dyes, and various polymers.

Rubber and Printing Industries: Used as a solvent in the manufacturing of rubber adhesives and mastics, as well as for diluting certain types of printing inks and cleaning printing rollers.
