Alkyd Varnish (Alkyd Resin)

Alkyd varnish is a viscous, transparent, or slightly colored liquid, which is a solution of alkyd resins in organic solvents (white spirit, solvent naphtha, or a mixture thereof). It is one of the most highly demanded film-forming substances in the paint and varnish industry. The varnish forms a durable, weather-resistant, glossy coating with a high degree of adhesion. The product is widely used both as an independent protective and decorative material for wood and metal, and as a base binder (semi-finished product) for the production of high-quality enamels, paints, and primers.
