Iron Oxide Pigments

Formula: Fe₂O₃ GOST/CAS: CAS 1309-37-1

Iron Oxide is a premium-grade, dry inorganic pigment widely used in the construction industry for both integral (bulk) and surface coloration of materials. The product is a fine, high-purity powder characterized by exceptional tinting strength, superior lightfastness, and excellent resistance to atmospheric agents (UV radiation, alkalis, and weathering). Due to its stable chemical structure, this pigment guarantees long-lasting color retention in the finished product without compromising the structural integrity or mechanical properties of the building mixtures.

Applications

Production of Construction Materials: Used for through-body coloring of concrete, cement-sand mixtures, paving stones, curbs, facade panels, artificial stone, and facing bricks.
Paints & Coatings Industry: Widely applied in manufacturing primers, enamels, and paints (both water-borne and solvent-based) designed for high-durability exterior and interior finishes.
Architectural Concrete & Landscaping: Integral to colored dry mixes, decorative plasters, joint grouts, self-leveling floors, as well as the production of colored asphalt layouts.
Plastics & Rubber Industry: Highly effective for the pigmentation of polymer compounds, rubber tiles for sports and playgrounds, and various synthetic elastomer products.

Key Advantages

High Hiding Power & Tinting Strength: Fine particle size distribution ensures perfectly uniform dispersion within the batch, yielding rich, deep, and homogeneous shades even at low dosage levels.
UV & Weather Resistance: Does not fade under direct sunlight and resists extreme temperature fluctuations, high humidity, and industrial atmospheric gases, preserving its original appearance for years.
Exceptional Alkali Stability: Possesses total chemical inertness to the aggressive alkaline environment characteristic of curing cement and concrete, preventing color shifting or fading during hydration.
Eco-Friendly & Safe: Chemically stable, non-toxic, and does not release hazardous substances into the environment, making it completely safe for both production workers and end-users.

Storage & Transportation

  • Store in original, tightly closed packaging in covered, dry, well-ventilated warehouses protected from moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight.
  • Avoid damage to bags to prevent product spillage and cross-contamination. Recommended relative humidity should not exceed 75%.
  • Keep away from highly reactive chemical reagents and strong acids capable of reacting with metal oxides.
  • Transportable by all types of covered transport in compliance with standard freight rules. The product is non-hazardous (non-ADR). Shelf life is 3 years from the production date if original packaging integrity is maintained.
