Polysorbate

Polysorbates are a group of non-ionic surfactants (surfactants) that are esters of ethoxylated sorbitan. The product is a viscous, oily liquid ranging from pale yellow to amber in color. Due to their unique molecular structure, polysorbates act as highly effective emulsifiers and solubilizers, allowing for the blending of immiscible components (such as oil and water) and ensuring the stability of finished systems across a wide temperature range.

Applications

Cosmetics and Hygiene: Used in shampoos, shower gels, and cleansers to dissolve essential oils and fragrances into water bases without losing transparency.

Food Industry (E432–E436): Applied in the production of ice cream, sauces, creams, and confectionery to create a smooth texture and prevent fat separation.
