Polyester resin (P102, T100)

Formula: [-O-R-O-C(O)-R'-C(O)-]n GOST/CAS: CAS 25038-59-9 / 32131-17-2

Polyester Resin (Unsaturated, Grades P102 / T100) is a high-quality industrial polymer material serving as a primary binding matrix for the production of composites, fiberglass products, and artificial stone. The P102 grade is characterized by optimal viscosity and rapid wetting of reinforcing materials, while the T100 grade features enhanced thermal stability and chemical resistance. The product is a transparent or slightly yellowish liquid resin that, upon introduction of a curing agent, forms a durable, long-lasting, and weather-resistant polymer.

Applications

Composite Materials & Fiberglass: Functions as the primary matrix in hand lay-up, spray-up, and filament winding of pipes, storage tanks, automotive body kits, boat hulls, and marine vessels.
Artificial Stone Production: Used as a binder for casting kitchen countertops, sinks, windowsills, and decorative tiles formulated with marble or granite chips.
Construction & Repair: Applied in surface waterproofing, installing chemical-resistant protective floor coatings, and manufacturing specialized coatings, primers, and putties.
Casting & Novelty Items: The T100 grade is ideal for clear casting of souvenirs, furniture hardware, and custom interior decor elements.

Key Advantages

High Mechanical Properties: Exhibits excellent adhesion to glass fibers and mineral fillers, providing high impact strength and rigidity to the final products.
Excellent Processability: Optimal gel time and low viscosity minimize air entrapment and voids within the cured composite matrix.
Thermal & Chemical Resistance (T100): The T100 modification features minimal volumetric shrinkage, superior dimensional stability at elevated temperatures, and resistance to moisture and weak acids.
Color Stability: The transparent base of the resin allows for effortless tinting into any color using specialized pigment pastes.

Storage & Transportation

  • Store in dry, cool, and well-ventilated warehouses in tightly sealed original packaging, away from heat sources, sparks, and direct sunlight.
  • Recommended temperature range: +15°C to +23°C. Do not allow the temperature to exceed +30°C, as this can trigger premature gelation (self-polymerization).
  • Avoid moisture contamination in opened containers, as water adversely affects the physical and chemical performance of the resin.
  • Transportation is carried out by all types of covered transport in strict compliance with the regulations for flammable liquids (Class 3 Hazardous Goods). Guaranteed shelf life — 6 months from the date of manufacture.
