Corn Starch

Corn starch is a homogeneous white or slightly yellowish powder with no pronounced taste or odor. It is insoluble in cold water and alcohol, but upon heating in water, it swells to form a viscous colloidal solution (paste). The product is a crucial natural carbohydrate widely used both in the food industry as a natural thickener and in technical sectors: in the production of paper, corrugated board, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.

Applications

Tile Adhesives (C1, C2): Used as a premium anti-sagging additive. It prevents heavy tiles and large-format porcelain stoneware from slipping down vertical surfaces immediately after application, while effectively extending the open time.

Plasters and Renders: Incorporated into cement, gypsum, and lime-based formulations to enhance plasticity. It facilitates smoother application and leveling of thin layers, reducing trowel drag and friction.

Textile Industry: Used for yarn sizing (increasing the smoothness and strength of threads before weaving).

Pharmaceuticals and Cosmetology: Acts as a binding filler for tablets, as well as a component for dusting powders and ointments.
